Life was busy,
It was always one task after another,
I wished I had time.for myself
Now I'm free to do things that I like.
Life was stressful,
It was full of deadlines at short notice,
I wished I could work less hurriedly.
Now I'm free to do my work at leisure.
Life was tiring,
It was fraught with long hours of labour,
I wished I had some respite from fatigue.
Now I'm free to rest and renew my strength.
All this is short-lived,
It will come to an end.
Soon we'll be busy, stressed, and fatigued,
All over again.
Meanwhile, let us rest,
And savour the joy of wishes fulfilled.
Wishes fulfilled.
