We've always thought that rivers
should look murky, dark and brown.
That clear green waters will never
ever in our country be found.
For diverse kinds of rubbish
and many harmful poisons,
Are dumped by the reckless and selfish,
by those who won't listen to reason.
Who would have thought that one fine day,
a deadly plague would arrive,
To force everyone at home to stay
and restore our rivers to life.
Emerald rivers begin to flow
in cities, and in countryside.
Crystal green waters, not seen for ages,
so precious in our sight.
