Enchanted

They say the place is bewitched,
that it has been put under a spell.
Some call it the enchanted castle,
for every visitor will tell

that no sooner have you crossed the draw-bridge,
and step in through its gatehouse,
than an eerie silence befalls
one and all,
from which silence none can be aroused.

This is the enchanted castle,
it leaves visitors spell-bound.
Having become the enchantee,
they leave without turning around.
